Intersen Phase

At Forest Town School we have a nurturing and compassionate vision to meet every child’s individual needs. Our goals are to provide an academic curriculum that caters to the holistic child, and creates an awareness of the importance of selfless acts towards one another. We strive to build a balance between tradition and technology while facilitating a journey of participation.

 We have smaller classes and follow a child-centered teaching approach. We cater for Grade 4 -7 and follow the Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement (CAPS) focusing on knowledge, values, attitudes and skills.  The learners follow a rotational timetable in English HL, Afrikaans FAL, Mathematics, Life Skills, Natural Science and Social Sciences. The school also offers Computer skills and Music lessons.

 The children are taught water safety and learning-to-swim lessons. In the academic year we have a swimming gala and Talent Show that encourages every child to participate. We instill respect, kindness, honesty and accountability in all our learners.
