Foundation Phase
We cater for learners from the age of eight years old to 12 years old. Our programme supports junior learners with various barriers to learning, who require additional support and intervention in order for them to succeed at school and reach their best potential. We follow the CAPS curriculum which also includes a hands-on approach to practical work. This approach reinforces and consolidates what has been taught in class.
We focus on the development and growth of the whole child i.e. the cognitive, physical, emotional, and social aspects of their development. To achieve this, every teacher within our Department provides an individual learning programme for each child so that they may reach their maximum potential.
Classes are also involved in arts and crafts activities by participating in the end of year gift making programme. This programme aims to nurture the creativity of learners and to provide them with opportunities to develop their usable skills and knowledge. This creative process actively engages the learners through the various activities they are involved in, using ideas drawn from personal experiences in order to create and present simple family gifts.
